H a zelnut-Stuf�e d A p p l e s PINEAPPLE-SAUSAGE KABOB SUBS Serve these sizzling, pizza-inspired kabob subs at your next tailgate. TOTAL TIME 45 minutes • SERVES 4 INGREDIENTS 2 Fresh Thyme Parmesan chicken sausage links 4 (10 inch) wooden or metal skewers* 1¼ cups fresh pineapple chunks 1 medium red bell pepper, stemmed, seeded, and cut into 1-inch chunks 1 cup button mushrooms, halved 4 slices Fresh Thyme Deli sliced ham (3½ oz.), optional 2 Tbsp. Fresh Thyme extra virgin olive oil 1 Tbsp. minced garlic ½ tsp. Fresh Thyme fine sea salt ½ tsp. Fresh Thyme dried pizza seasoning 1 cup jarred Fresh Thyme marinara sauce Non-stick cooking spray 4 Fresh Thyme brat buns 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz.) INSTRUCTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a rimmed baking pan with foil. 2. Place sausages on prepared baking pan and bake 20 minutes or until fully cooked (165°F). Place sausages on a cutting board; when cool enough to handle, cut into 1-inch-thick slices. 3. Alternately thread sausage slices on skewers* with pineapple chunks, red pepper chunks, button mushroom halves, and if desired, folded ham slices. Cover kabobs; chill until ready to grill. 4. In a small container with a lid, stir together oil, garlic, salt, and pizza seasoning. Chill until ready to grill. Pour marinara into a small container with a lid; keep chilled until ready to grill. 5. Prepare a charcoal or gas grill for direct cooking over medium heat. Coat grates and kabobs with cooking spray. Grill 10 minutes or until vegetables soften and kabobs begin to char in places, turning several times. 6. Brush cut sides of the buns with oil mixture and grill buns, cut sides down, until toasted. 7. Pour marinara sauce into a foil pan and heat over grill until warm. To assemble subs, spoon ¼ cup sauce into each bun. Place cooked kebabs on buns, then carefully pull away the skewers.
